1/2 consult with parents, 4+ hours reviewing evaluations, IEPs, progress reports, assessments, and historical school data on student, 1 hour in home informal assessment session with student, culminating in a comprehensive report including but not limited to a student’s learning profile, progress, strengths, challenges, and outcomes, and to identify meaningful next steps. Culminating in a 30 minute phone consult to consider next steps.

In home tutoring usually 1 hour sessions, tailored to each student’s learning profile and needs. I mean it. I am actually teaching skills as I model, repeat, guide and structure a learned skill, concept or experience.

In home coaching usually 1 hour sessions including material implementation, systematic training on management tools, organization of materials and space, planning upcoming week, time management to Chuck and Block, prioritizing assignments, direct instruction of study skills, and guided task completion

I provide reading, writing, and math using multisensory, research-based approaches. My background lends to support using a myriad of materials and manipulative but with the ultimate goal of number sense, flexible thinking and grit to complete hard tasks, whatever that means for the given child.

Ability to synthesizing information from multiple sources to help families create a clear, practical plan for continued growth and support. These conversations are open and collaborative supporting the family’s vision and student’s engagement of defining success.

Helping families prepare for meetings, understand educational recommendations, communicate effectively with schools, and advocate for appropriate supports. This work can be done in person or through prior preparation for your upcoming meeting. I am assertive and am well versed- but each family has their own style and approach. I advocate for kids on an hourly rate. There is no certification in the state of act for become an advocate. I’m knowledgeable with a mother’s love and a the voice of a tiger in person or offline.
